Blackcurrant seed oil, fish oil, lycopene, and vitamins C and E found not to improve dry skin conditions, according to EFSA

EFSA has delivered an unfavourable opinion on the health claim, submitted by the French authorities, related to the use of blackcurrant seed oil, fish oil, lycopene, and vitamins C and E and the improvement of dry skin conditions. This claim had been evaluated pursuant to Article 13.5 of the EU's Claims Regulation ((EC) No 1924/2006). In its opinion, published on the 21 May, EFSA concludes that no cause and effect relationship could be established between the combination of the intake of these substances and the improvement of dry skin conditions.
